AIMS
The Aucouturier Psychomotor Practice uses the body as a unity factor (somato-psychic).
The aims of PPA® are:
- To reassure the child in a secure environment regarding its archaic fears
- To use the body as a mediator. This practice interacts with the senses, the tone, the motor development, the emotional experience and the fantasy of the child throughout its spontaneous play
- To use sensory motor pleasure as the central point of this practice
- To focus on the concept of ‘action fantasy’ born from the body experiences shared by mother and infant
- To promote non-violent communication
- To promote decentralisation process
BENEFITS
PPA® participates to the process of decentralisation of the child in pre-primary school. To be decentralised means to be able to move from the action and the affect to a better understanding of the external world, the representation of the self and the capacity to socialise. Decentralisation prepares the child to the learning process.
